Description
BOOT made with new hops, this time we will try HBC630 hops 💪HBC630 seems to have a complex scent like a mixture of cherry and berry with a tropical scent 🍒🫐Changes from BOOT v2.0 include an increase in the amount of hops and a new product. The timing of adding hops was moved to the later stage of the process, and the malt was simplified. I added a little Citra in Whirlpool, but 80% is made up of HBC630🌿It definitely has a berry aroma and a very fruity scent🍺
BOOT v2.0-b.McKenzie
- Style: IPA
- Malt: Pilsner, Mela Beech, Maris Otter, Munich, Wheat
- Hop: McKenzie
- Yeast: Verdant IPA
- ABV: 6.0%
BOOT made with new hops (previous bootloader), this time we tried McKenzie hops 💪 McKenzie is described as a bright and fruity hop with aromas of grapefruit, lemon, nectarine, and melon 🍈 🍑 🍋 🍊 For a classic West Coast IPA It seemed to go well with it, so I set the saccharification temperature low and finished the body dry. Personally, I think there's a dank scent in the background❓ A good hop that you want to blend with hops that have a stronger taste than fruity hops🌿
By the way, BOOT means to start up, and its predecessor, BOOTLOADER, is a special program that starts up a computer💻 BOOT is used to convey the meaning of starting up a hop. The next BOOT IPA will be made with berry-flavored hops 🫐 Look forward to it. We are also accepting requests for single hop❗️
BOOT v2.0-b.YQH-1320
- Style: IPA
- Malt: Pilsner, Mela Beech, Maris Otter, Munich, Wheat
- Hop: YQH-1320
- Yeast: Verdant IPA
- ABV: 6.0%
I wanted to compare hops as well, so I released it at the same time as v.McKenzie ❗️ I used a prototype hop called YQH-1320 that doesn't have a name yet 🤖 I thought Mr. Isekado was the first to do it in Japan. 😭By the way, I think McKenzie is the first! Please try it. YQH-1320 is characterized by a clean, bright, tropical, citrus, and stone fruit scent 🍑 From the 2022 hops, you can feel pineapple, guava, lime, white peach, and orange peel 🌴 Apparently it has a strong tropical flavor. That's why we set the saccharification temperature high to maintain a strong body. After all, this is the hop that I want to add to the hazy mix ❗️
All BOOT malt formulations are the same. The timing of adding hops is also the same. The only difference is the saccharification temperature and the type of hops. Because we don't know what the finished product will look like, we keep it simple and consistent. If you keep drinking BOOT, you too might become a hop doctor 👩🎓 We are looking for single hops that you would like to try ❗️
